It ended up being really fun and a good workout

When I first saw an Activ5 video I was not convinced it would be a workout. But I decided to try it because I am always looking for a new way to workout at my office. It ended up being really fun and a good workout! It has so many different exercises to try from arms, abs, chest. etc.. The next morning after trying it my arms and chest were sore. I also enjoyed playing the Activ5 games with coworkers and it became a contest on who could get the most points. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and easy way to workout at work during lunch or after hours.

Way more fun than I was expecting!

I sort of bought this on a whim because I travel a lot and wanted to see how it could help for when I’m on the airplane, car, hotels, etc. But, surprisingly, I find myself using it all the time now. And, they have some pretty cool games that you can play if you don’t want to feel like your working out.

I actually was sharing it with a coworker this week and it turned into a full-fledged competition to see who could get a better score on the game apps. No joke, 2 hours later we were all pretty spent and felt like we had a serious workout even though it felt more like we were just playing around. This thing – and the apps they connect to – are super fun!

I just bought another one for my mom too because she likes non-weight training exercise and this thing is perfect for that.

This is a great device and kit

This is a great device and kit! When I find myself out of town or just cant seem to get to the gym this is a nice alternative. It won’t replace the gym entirely but does exercise your muscles enough. The yoga mat is great!

 Cool concept

The Activ5 Portable Strength Training Device & Coaching App is an interesting device. You are strengthening your body by pushing against the device (I describe it as resistance going towards yourself rather than stretching away). The device is small, and it is angled to fit in the palm of your hand. It can also be used on the floor and is then angled for your foot. The physical science behind the concept is sound. There is plenty of research to support this kind of exercising.

I have had the device for over 6 months. Overall, I feel a little bit stronger, but I have not lost inches off my waist. It is nice to keep in the office or at your desk. I use it more as something to keep me busy (or distracted) while I work.

The selling point is the app, described as a coaching app. The app contains many different exercises and positions for the device. You can choose different combinations, from intensity to how long you have. You can even focus on just a few muscles.

Once choose a workout, it is here I have a problem. The app wants you to squeeze the device and follow a wave curve with points on it. The goal is to keep the dot on the curve and hit those points. Do you know how hard this is? When the app starts, I squeeze, and my dot shoots straight up. I am constantly adjusting to hit that curve, and even when I do, it is very inaccurate. I get that this control I am supposed to have increases my exercise, but it is far too sensitive. I wish there was feedback from within the device rather than the visual on the app.

Overall, this is a nice little companion piece to keep you busy at work or at a desk.

Love it! So Small.

So far I am loving this little device. I like the fact that is is small and can easily be taken with you and or as a travel item. The app is also functional, which is so important because so many apps that come with devices like this don’t work (I have a Google Pixel 2xl). The app pairs wonderfully, and I had no issues with the Bluetooth.

Sensational! Working out while I am on the job is so great.

-Small and compact, fits in your pocket or your purse
-User friendly device and app
-One button on and off
-Always strikes up a competition among my friends and coworkers
-You don’t have to rearrange your furniture to work out at home or at the office
-Allows me to compare my strength from one day to the next
-Even though I still use the gym, I love logging my max strength week to week
-The guest mode is the coolest. You can let your weak friends and family try it and not impact your stats.
-The free games are super fun and you will find yourself actually tired/sore after a couple minutes
-BEST PART – you don’t have to charge this thing….it’s a single AAA batter and you just replace it when it dies. I have had the activ5 for at least 3 weeks now and after daily use I haven’t had to change the battery that it came with.

Our family enjoys working out with Activ5. The workouts are short and convenient. We each set up our own accounts on phones and iPads. Our boys have gained almost 50% in strength in the past couple months and are hitting and pitching stronger this season. The games make it fun and because this is resistance based exercise, we feel it’s safer than weights for our boys. There’s a great video of Activ5 on GoDog Sports channel on YouTube.

Simple and effective!

Got this after a recommendation from a friend and am happily surprised how much it’s changed the frequency and strength of workouts! Much better than a Fitbit which I ended up not wearing and forgetting about. I keep this at my work desk and use it throughout the day for breaks. Exercises are simple but really effective! The roller is also an awesome part of this package – I run often and have been meaning to get a roller to ease out my muscles after runs. I like the big size of it as it feels better while stretching leg muscles.
